Snack Video app and 42 other apps bans in India by Govt

The Government of India bans the 43 apps in India including the most popular short video platform Snack video. The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) bans 43 apps. These 43 Chinese apps are not only banned in India. The Government has blocked these apps under Section 69A of the Information and Technology Act.

The Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre that comes under the Ministry of Home Affairs reports about these apps. The Government of India has banned these apps for security reasons. Also, the Indian Government says in a statement that these apps were engaged in activities prejudicial to sovereignty, integrity, and defense of India, the security of the state, and public order.

Internet service providers and telecom companies will block the Snack video and other apps soon. Access to these apps will be suspended. The bans of these 43 apps will affect after the access blocked.
